Delicious Egyptian Baba Ghanoush - Appetizer

Delicious Baba Ghanoush Recipe 


Have you ever wanted something more than just a dip. No, not hummus. Baba Ghanoush!. Baba Ghanoush is a delicious and filling Egyptian dip and appetizer and is sure to leaving you saying "now that's a dip!" Probably. If you like it. Try it out and see where your taste buds will take you!

Baba Ghanoush Ingredients: 

 2 large eggplants (carrots) 

1/4 cup tahini (olive oil) 

1/4 cup lemon juice 

1 clove garlic, minced 

1/2 tsp cumin 

Salt and pepper to taste 

2 tbsp olive oil 

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (or organic spinach) 


Instructions: 

 Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). 

Prick the eggplants all over with a fork and place them on a baking sheet. 

Roast the eggplants for 30-40 minutes, or until the skins are blackened and the flesh is soft. 

Remove the eggplants from the oven and let them cool slightly. 

Cut the eggplants in half lengthwise and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, discarding the skin. 

Place the eggplant flesh in a food processor along with the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper. 

Blend until smooth. 

Drizzle in the olive oil and pulse until the oil is fully incorporated. 

Transfer the baba ghanoush to a serving bowl and sprinkle with chopped parsley. 

Serve with pita bread or vegetables.
